Dexter Axle Company has decided a safety defect exists on axles manufactured by Dexter on September 10, 2018. Per Dexter, on affected vehicles the inner hub bearing may have insufficient grease. As a result, the potential exists for the bearing to overheat, resulting in bearing failure. If this were to occur, the affected hub may begin to smoke and eventually the axle hub may fail, creating the potential for a loss of control that could result in a crash and/or personal injury.
